I want to announce the two winners of my Number of the Day Task Cards giveaway.
Congratulations to these two lucky ladies! Check your emails!
Now it's time for a quick look back at my week with Five for Friday.
I've worked in my classroom two days this week. I start teaching summer school next Thursday and wanted most of my "stuff" put away. I don't have pictures to share yet, because I'm still not finished. Next week.... : )
It seems that all of my little cucumbers in my garden decided to be ready at the same time this year.
So when you get lots of cucumbers, what do you do???
Make pickles!!
I have been seeing these all over Pinterest and wanted a new decoration for my door.
I bought and finished this book on the recommendation of Mary at Fit to be Fourth.
The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.
I read it in two afternoons.
Let's just say Mary was right -- it's a must read!
I am definitely adding this to my read aloud list for the beginning of this year!
By the way, if you haven't visited Mary's blog, I hope you will check it out. She is a newer blogger and has some awesome ideas! :)
I have definitely noticed that the days are getting shorter. :(
However, the bright side is that we get to see more of nature's beauty because we are awake for it.
(Or at least I am, because I can't seem to sleep past 5:00 AM.)
Beautiful, isn't it???
I hope that you will take a few minutes to just sit and take in life around you this weekend. In this busy, busy time, it is easy to forget to do that. :)
Have a great weekend!
Love your wreath! I've been slightly obsessed with wreath lately! Thanks for sharing!

The wreath turned out great and so did the sunrise/set photos. You're right about taking a time out once in a while. It's so important!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for mentioning me in your blog. I greatly appreciate it!

I love homemade pickles, I haven't made them since my boys were younger.

I tried planting cucumbers this summer and it was a total failure. I'd love some tips! Did you start from seedlings or seeds? I think my seedlings were already in bad shape when I bought them from the garden store. :(
