I swear it was just the 4th of July like last week....Wasn't it???
Time to link up with Farley for CURRENTLY...Such a fun way to check in with other bloggers and to meet some new friends!
Most of these are pretty self-explanatory so I won't bore you with the explanation. Just a few to touch on...
Wanting: Back in June, I had a very tall pile of books I was looking forward to reading this summer. I am such a wishful thinker....most of them are STILL in that pile. Here are a few that I DID get through though:
Awesome, awesome read on taking a new look at revision. Used this book for my NWP project.
Also used for my National Writing Project inquiry, TONS of great lesson ideas from a writing expert!
OK...well I'm ALMOST done with this one. I was inspired to read it from the book study that some of you were posting about this summer.
B2s Must Haves:
Lots of Post-its -- the brighter the better. I love the ones in shapes.
New Room Décor: I took everything down in June because I have been looking at the same room décor for the past five years. I figured that if the walls were bare, I would HAVE to change things up. I'm excited for my new décor -- going for a bird/owl theme with lots of turquoise, magenta & lime green.
Synonym Word Rings: A great product from Joanne Miller at Head Over Heels for Teaching. I blogged about how I used these yesterday (you can read that post here) and can add other writing cards to the rings for my kiddos to use as a reference when writing. You can find them at her TpT Store.
In honor of many of you heading back to school now, I'm having a SALE at my TpT Store through Monday. Now would be a great time to grab my Word Parts We Know program for prefix & suffix work or my new Number of the Day Task Cards. Happy shopping!
Before I go, a reminder to enter the Rafflecopter below for a chance to WIN my new Number of the Day Task Cards.
I want to see your room with the colors! I like the idea of magenta. I am almost similar- turquoise, lime green, and black with owls.

I thought I was going to deep clean my house over the summer....I always found an excuse not to and school is back in session (at least for the teachers!)

A Day at the Beach with Fourth Grade
I feel so behind on my reading for school list. Yikes! I had a huge list all planner out and I haven't even made a dent in it this year. I guess I'll just try and make up for this week and then keep adding it to it like always ;)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through another blogger! You have some great ideas :) I'm your newest follower :)

Adventures in Multigrade
I have owls for a theme the second year in a row! The students loved it and they always brought me fun "owl things!" It might be difficult to switch. lol I love what you did with your pencil cases and was also inspired by Joanne. I have bought 38 of them and need about 15 more but the stores are sold out! Time to go on a hunt this weekend. :)
