I am an absolute believer that, like anything else, the more you practice it, the better you get. So my kids write all the time, and I teach grammar within that. I find DOL's and stuff like that a waste of valuable time. I don't see kids make any transition from those to their own writing.
Can you tell I feel a little strongly about this? :)
Marion
MentoringintheMiddleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678514486069553970.post-71438225851368378412013-07-11T21:54:06.244-05:002013-07-11T21:54:06.244-05:00I couldn't agree more about using authentic wr...I couldn't agree more about using authentic writing to teach grammar. I am really going to put some thought into how I can incorporate grammar within writing. I am always short of time and integrating it would definitely make use of my instructional time.

Thanks for sharing!
Erica
Shepherd's Shining StarsMrs. Shepherdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05891907500674949205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678514486069553970.post-90529568038282919362013-07-11T19:24:45.982-05:002013-07-11T19:24:45.982-05:00Good luck tomorrow! :DGood luck tomorrow! :DAmy Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06020999530780151070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678514486069553970.post-17957682681476145002013-07-11T18:07:48.592-05:002013-07-11T18:07:48.592-05:00I can't wait to hear about how your presentati...I can't wait to hear about how your presentation goes!
